A Sticky Situation!

What the??? Horse!?!?!?! Fingers!?!?!?!?!

Let's just say too much super glue, gravity and fingers not a good combination!

A porcelain horse was broken during our move and I tried to glue it back together. However, in doing so a little glue ran down between my fingers. So, when I realized that my fingers were stuck I call my knight in shining armor to help me. What does he do? He picks up the camera and starts taking pictures! Thanks babe!!!! Then he tells me to "rip it off", "you have 9 layers of skin and you will only loose 2 of them!" I wasn't going to let that happen so he googled superglue and 'how do get it off your skin' pops right up. I guess I am not the only one! LOL!

Hot water and soap didn't work!

(This picture is a hilarious angle with the horse coming out of my nose and the leg as my teeth!) At this point I go to show Hope and hold my hand up just like this and her face lights up as she exclaims, "Thanks, Mom, you fixed it!!!!!!! LOL

Next try, nail polish remover and it didn't work. I ended up using extreme goo gone and I am sure that wasn't good for my skin!

One finger free, one more to go and I still have to get ready for church!

Finally!!!! O my gosh! What an ordeal and one of my most embarrassing moments!

Hummmmmm.....................

One of our favorite things to do at our new house is watch the Humming Birds. The first day there were as many as 7 on the feeder at one time. It was spectacular, but now we laugh at the one that perches there as king and chases all the others away. Charlie had one fly right up to his face the other day. I am a huge fan of the majestic Bald Eagle, but I think the Humming Bird has to be a very close 2nd. They are so amazing.

Home is where the Army sends you!

Once again we are settled back into our new area, new house and new adventures. We are thankful for God's grace in easing our transition, giving us a peace of mind and making us feel at home where ever we are. Thank you all for your prayers and help in our transition! I know some of you have been looking forward to seeing our new place, so I finally have working internet and time! Yea, I am back to real life and a routine!

Thankfully I still have our piano! We bought it when we were first married and it has travelled with us everywhere including Germany and Hawaii.

The picture on the wall is the lake we grew up on as kids! I love looking at it as I walk by.

We are so thankful for our new furniture! With all the moving we have done in the last couple years we didn't have a living room set in our last house in Hawaii. Talk about helping to not take things for granted.

Hope is a pretty good little pool player for just starting out! Rach you would be proud!

My Friend's Adoption

My long time friend and her family are in the process of adopting a beautiful little girl, Amei! They are anxiously awaiting the day that she can come home to their loving family. She started a blog to share their journey through the long process of adoption.
