Kayaking Kane'ohe Bay
We had one last chance to get out on the water before we left so we jumped on it!
The woman that worked at the rental place told us that you could only fit 2 kayaks on the truck. She never met Erik and Charlie! You go guys!
The race is on!
Erica, My First Mate and the bravest 5 year old I know! She named our kayak the "Hoppin' Rocket".
Charlie came over to our boat to visit!
Hope is not very happy to be in the Kayak by herself! She said this was the scariest day of her life! Sorry Hope, but you did great! Thanks!

I love you Charlie! I am so thankful that you were able to come with us today in between all the hard work you did packing our house!

This was suppose to be one of the calmest places to Kayak on the island. Well the waves were well over Erica's head and my heart was racing several times. I can think of several other places that are much much calmer! Now we know for next time! I am forever grateful for God's hand of protection and his control of the weather!

Big Kahuna's
North Shore
One thing I wanted to do before we left Hawaii was go to the historic North Shore town of Hale'iwa to take pictures of signs. I had heard about an idea of using different letters from signs and buildings for projects. So one of my friends who also enjoys photos as much as I do met me for lunch and a picture mission. Hope and I got their early and knew they were at the beach so we stopped by. Their friend's kids had caught a sea horse and an octopus. Super cool!!!! Also they let me try out their paddle board, which was the last thing to do on my Hawaiian check list! It was Awesome!!!!

Memorial Day in Hawaii
Hiking
Our last hike in Hawaii! :-( This Waimano Ridge hike was super easy with a beautiful view, delicious strawberry guava and super cool tunnels!
This is a story to tell down the road, but it wasn't funny at the time. A camera accidentally dropped down the side on the mountain. Being the determined men that they are Charlie and Dan went down after it. We could barely see them through the trees when we hear Dan hollered up that it still works!
Refreshing!
No hike is finished until you reward the kids! We took them to Yogurtland to cool off!
Beach Bar-b-que
We finished the day with friends from church at a north shore beach. The kids swam on the beach used, back in the day, to film Bay Watch. There were sea turtles also enjoying the waves feet away from them.

On the way home we dropped our 3 temporary kids off with their mom and dad. We had such a great time being a family of 6 and look forward to spending time with them at our next duty station. It will be our 3rd tour with our good friends. I have to say it is really hard to leave all of our great friends when er have to move, but I look forward to seeing them again down the road!
